The enchanting Lake Bohinj is only 22kms from Bled and is the largest lake in Slovenia at 5km in length. Framed by the majestic and jagged peaks of the Julian Alps, rocky and sheer on one side, pine clad and gently sloping on the other, Lake Bohinj enjoys one of the most vividly picturesque and unspoilt natural settings. The villages around the lake are nestled on the wooded shores, with their charming alpine houses blending perfectly into the landscape.
